We are a student-run discussion group on language and computation that takes place at MIT. The aim of the group is to bring together the language community at MIT and environs, learn about each other's research, and foster cross-laboratory collaborations.
The broad topic of the meetings is using computational approaches to study scientific questions about language. We discuss work from computational linguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive science, natural language processing and formal linguistics. Complang presentations are informal, and discussion is very much encouraged.
We gratefully acknowedge support from the MIT Center for Brains, Minds, and Machines, MIT InfoLab, the MIT Computational Psycholinguistics Laboratory, and MIT Linguistics.
